I have some semi tubular rivets I bought from Hanson in the States to renew my Beach toolbox. They should fit your handles, I don't have any small enough for the plaque, sadly. We are both in Eastern Ontario it seems, maybe we can arrange some sort of transaction.
Welcome PlanB....see above for your rivets.Woukd you be able to share the Hanson part number?
I am in SK and have a couple of Beach boxes too.
Looks like good match. My favorite is Sunshine Red. The cabinet is sunshine red compared to the Beach red on the fold up shelf, pictured.By coincidence earlier this month I obtained a Mastercraft made by Beach (B29). Had been looking quite a while.. Drawers look like nothing has ever been in them, but the top looked like it was used as a paint mixing table. Sanded the top with 400 and shot it with Massey Ferguson red. Rivets are rusty too. Might do some micro cosmetic surgery there with a small dremel wire wheel. Big fan of Beach, couldn't afford them as a kid.

There are lots of locks out there. I use thumb latches on my boxes where you only need to keep the door shut. Found them in PAL surplus a long time ago.Except that locks been replaced.
They use normal style lock so they're pretty easy to get if a new one is needed for whatever reason.
I meant that it's a typical cam lock and not something unique to beach that can't be easily replaced. There are lots of locks out there. I use thumb latches on my boxes where you only need to keep the door shut. Found them in PAL surplus a long time ago.
The Mac Tools emblem looks crooked and I'd guess an add-on by the owner. It's a shame we cant see the door,or even if there is a door. And it's one of the rarer tall wide cabinets.
It would be interesting to know if it was always labeled as a Mac tools one. There are some out there but usually they don't have the beach sticker on the bottom that this one looks to have. One of my side boxes is a Mac with the same logo.
Nope, that is indeed a Mac box, made by Beach. The Mac Tools emblem looks crooked and I'd guess an add-on by the owner. It's a shame we cant see the door,or even if there is a door.
I like the BEACCH boxes. I have several.Love the Beach boxes, I'm moving my 3 drawer from the cottage garage back home to my basement garage.
I have some touch ups to do, hopefully the paint references match!
I bought the box new, when I was in my early 20's with my own paycheck. I am no longer in my 20's![]()
Yes, Grainger is where I got mine. My B29 used 9/64" dia. 5/16" long rivets the hanson part number is BSZ05-100, grainger # is 1HBP9 , the die/clincher is hanson # HT-175, Grainger # 6LB95
Late to reply, but no, that Waterloo is not made by Beach. Beach boxes are great, I have a few myself.1- B26 and 1-B29 and 1 - B89? Is the Waterloo part of the same line just newer?
The head fits into a cupped fitting to take care of that, something like this:This really helpful Huck, thank you for the detail. I’m reconditioning a B96 and a B89 and several of the rivets are loose. I could use a centre punch, but I’m concerned about the domed tops flattening.
When you set the rivets, what stops the domed head from flattening?
That’s a great box to take home. Two Canadians icons in one. Nice score. I too was watching that boxI stumbled onto this box and had to bring it home . It’s used and used hard but everything is there along with some scars . A Beach sold through T Eaton company . Back in the day my parents were small time farmers . Everything in our house was from Mr Eaton furniture ,Viking appliances ,clothes . hockey sticks etc .
I didn’t need it and I overpaid . That Viking label brought everything back . I believe it may have spent time in a feed mill and the first cleaning had a lot of seeds and chop feed .
The Beach were sold through Canadian Tire , Sears ,Eaton and some farmers Co-op’s
Sure it’s a little tired, it’s been working its whole lifeI found another ,poor ole soldier . It’s little rusty and missing two bottom drawers . I had to drive an hour to retrieve it . I don’t have the tools to put in it . It just needed a home
