Beacon Morris 75K NG to LP conversion

Has anyone done the conversion on one of these? How complicated is it. I have the conversion kit and am proceeding to read through the instructions again. Just looking for someone who has done it to give me some pointers. I'd assume it is pretty much the same as converting any other hanging furnace.

Mike the only tricky part you will run into is adjusting the gas valve after the conversion . This will require a manometer to properly adjust the spring . The orfice's are just a simple remove and install deal.

I have a manometer here, haven't used one before but don't suspect it will be too hard to figure out.

Mike what kind of manometer . Water or dial . The water one is pretty easy fill it with water to the top line . They will usually hook up to a port on the output side of the valve usually has a plug in it that you take out with an allen wrench then screw the fitting from the manometer into it . With a water manometer you will watch the smaller tube in the middle to get your reading.

Aaaaaaaaaaah totally differant animal from what I described . I havent personally used that type so best I can tell you is read the instructions . I have a digital Manometer now but I do HVAC so was worth the expense .

Its still a similar process to what you described before rickairmedic but with that one its a u-tube manometer. It will be filled so far up with a colored water and then you zero it out with the sliding scale before using it. Hook it up how rickairmedic described before and the water will move once the valve opens. With that type though, when the water moves it will move up on one side and down the other. You add both sides values together to get the " of water reading. So if it goes down to 2" on side and 2" on the other which it should then you will be at 4" of water. Hope that made sense.

Yep, read through the instructions a couple times. Pretty straight forward.
