I purchased the beacon morris heater and the concentric vent kit.

I'm going to vent this horizontally and through drywall/insulation/osb/vinyl siding

Do I need to install a wall thimble or is the 7" pipe on the concentric kit essentially the thimble?

if so, could i just install a large J-block in the siding and have the 7" pipe exit the garage through it?

The only thimble i've found that might work is http://www.menards.com/main/p-1444453722134-c-6894.htm?tid=-7164538749506288706

Thanks

Hi,
I just installed a SRP unit with a balanced or concentric flue. 2" flue runs inside the 4" fresh air intake. The 4" fresh air pipe was zero clearance through out.

If you have a concentric system with the exhaust inside the intake then you won't need a wall thimble. This should be clear on the installation instructions.

It's not clear in the instructions...

They say "install thimble if required by local codes or type of wall construction"
