I need to put a new heater inside my new garage. I already have the NG line run and it's time to buy. I was going to buy a Mr. Heater Big Maxx 75K unit from Northern Tool and have it shipped since their stores are nowhere near me. ($472 + shipping). But today I was at Menards and they have a BEACON MORRIS brand 75K heater on sale for $519 + tax.

Question is; Has anyone here have any experience with this brand of heater?

I hear good things about Big Maxx, Hot Dawg, and Reznor. I like being able to pick the unit right up at the store and install right away. But I want some feedback on the Beacon Morris before I buy. Unit looks the same as the others.

Thanks for any help you can give....

Bought the beacon morris last year at menards after the local guy recommended by hotgawg couldn't find the time to call me back. I set the thermostat at 50 degrees last winter and when needed it took no-time at all to heat up just under 800 sq.ft,with 11' ceiling. Installed it by myself with a rented lift and had no problems at all. Also nice to see it was made in USA. I see in todays sale flyer that they are on sale again.

Hello -
I am in the process of installing my 75k btu Beacon-Morris Garage Heater using Natural Gas. My gas line is of 3/4 size and about 100 feet from the gas meter, my question is: Do I need to install a gas pressure regulator? If yes, what kind or type? Beacon-Morris Manual says that the supply inlet pressure should be 14.0" w.c max and 5.0" w.c min, I have no idea what this means.:headscrat
Please help:)
