Installing my BRT 75 (forced air 75000 BTU unit) from Menards and had a few questions.

1) The instructions state that depending on which side of the fan you want the inlet/exhaust units to go (left or right), you may have to remove and replace the mounting brackets and "invert" the unit? I assume that means flip it upside down. Is that really correct?

2) I switched the unit from natural gas to propoane with an included kit. The orifice is straightforward, but the valve has you adjust to a specific inlet (or outlet) pressure. Instructions aren't real clear on how to do that. Does anyonve have any experience doing that?

Thanks,
Scott

I have 2 of them, both mounted "upside down ".

The only downside to doing it that way is that the label is now inverted.

Buy a $16 water manometer online. The hose included with the manometer fits over the boss on the gas valve. There is a threaded plug in the boss that you loosen to allow gas pressure to the manometer.

Adjust preload on the new spring supplied with the conversion kit to reach the specified pressure. I recall that the target is 10" of h2o.

A little red food coloring makes the manometer easier to read.

The manometer I selected has a magnet that aids in hanging the unit while you fiddle with setting the pressure.
