I am really struggling to make a decision on a natural gas unit heater for my 40x40 with 12 ft. ceilings. The garage has r19 (2x6) in the walls and I will be blowing in fiberglass in the attic. I am pretty much settled that a 75btu will work, but can't seem to pull the trigger on which brand. Menards has the Beacon Morris on sale very similiar to what the Mr. Heater is pricewise and I can get a corporate discount at Grainger to get me within a few bucks for the Dayton. Any input? Thanks.

I would think any of them would be OK. I have a Mr. Heater I am about to install. Others have the Dayton or the Beacon Morris.

There's another thread that mentioned the Dayton heaters are now Chinese sourced... I guess that would make me cross it off my list.

The Nat. Gas Dayton heaters are not made in China. They are made by Sterling.
Units basically identical to Daytons are also sold as well under the Sterling nameplate...slightly cheaper. try: http://www.littlegreenhouse.com/accessory/heaters4.shtml

I bought my 75K and have used for 3 years no issues....although mine is an actual Dayton branded unit. Also take a look at the harsh environment thermostats they sell...they are much more "garagey" than a standard control.

Picked up my used sterling 75K hanging unit from craigslist and it works flawless, I just need to install a electronic ignitor, tired of breaking out the grill lighter.
