I am building a bead roller and recently purchased a 100v DC gear motor. The motor is good and works. I tested it with a 12v battery. The battery turned the motor on but because its only 12v it was under powered. My question is, how do I wire this thing up so I can plug it into the wall, in other words, how do I convert the 110v AC wall power to run my 100V DC motor? I also want to instal a variable speed foot pedal.

Any suggestions would be really helpful.

You need to purchase a DC motor control.

Surpluscenter was selling some that might work for your application.

I'd return the 100V DC motor and find an old treadmill and scavenge the motor and the Motor control board (Plus the Choke if used, looks like a 2 wire transformer...)

If you need to slow that down, and a couple of pulleys won't suffice, then get a gear reduction box.
