Yup, both gears have the same number of teeth, so the ratio is 1:1

I just purchased one from Woodward Fab.

Chinese made. Not too awfully impressed.

Will need to make a few adjustments and fab up a fence.

Rollers are rough, and not to high tolerances.

For $109 shipped, I got a decent base to start with.

The motor is the key to making quality bead rolls. The motor allows you to make a smooth consistant run. I have the billet Mitler bros. unit and really like it.

courtjester90 is who to look for on youtube. Court jester will just lead to a bunch of Monty Python type videos.

Make sure before you start, price out the dies to see who makes the cheapest, that way you can make the rollers the correct diameter, unless you have a lathe to do it yourself.

I have two shafts, some gears, a motor and some scrap metal, where would I find some plans for one? I have a drill press, metal lathe, grinders, mig welder etc for fabbing I just don't know the details.

Here's a link for some dies- http://www.chopperweb.info/forum/showthread.php?threadid=29198
And here's one for the roller- http://www.metalmeet.com/forum/showthread.php?p=9948
God Bless Ken, he unfortunatly passed away a year ago. He was a master metal worker to say the least and always willing to shate his knowledge. I'm thinking you can adjust for the size you are building. Obviously this one is really intricate, but a basic HF one is a couple bearings with gears on the end mounted to a plate with a swivel bearing on the top roller.
