Found this listed in Facebook marketplace for $600 and the description just says antique beam vise. Has anyone ever seen one like this?

Looks like a blacksmith's wagon vise. Allowed a blacksmith to set up shop when on the trail. Was usually mounted to the tongue/drawbar of a heavy wagon hence the clamp instead of a leg.

Agree with the above. $600 seems awful high to me.

I just bought a regular blacksmith vise that needed a lot of work so it's a good idea to look them over before spending that kinda cash.

No way that's worth $600 in my universe. It's an old curiosity; maybe a Oregon Trail reenactor (yes, there are such) might find it a useful prop.

Ya I would never dream of paying $600 . I think they put that price on there because they didn’t know what it’s worth is.
