I am trying to replace the bearings on a 10" Craftsman table saw. The Nameplate ID is 103.23871. I have not found this number in the literature but find it similar to the 8" saw by ID 103.23831. I have disassembled the heart of the saw down to the shaft and inner bearing race, having removed the outer race and roller bearings. I am currently of the opinion that the bearing and shaft were manufactured as a unit. Please correct me if I am wrong on this.
If someone has replaced the bearing on their saw and can advise about parts that were used and are currently available, it will be appreciated. As well, if someone has updated their saw with a 5/8 shaft and bearing set, information on the parts used for this upgrade would also be appreciated. Thanks for your advice and help. Bob
