Received my new bearings (Accurate B.C.) for a Cman Joiner and have a question? :Help:

1. I have about .001" - .002" play when I install the bearings in the Support Brackets. Would u recommend using Loctite bearing retainer on the OD of the bearings---or, just install the bearings and let them find their own home?? Not a press fit.

Thx.

Are the bearing fits worn? Seems like 1 bearing would be fixed, and the other would have a little room to move endwise as the head warms up and expands.

Loctite sleeve retainer. You don't want the OD of the bearing moving around in the pocket.

Thanks for the info guys.

I assume the Bearing supports are slightly worn after 60 years. I plan to Freeze the cutter head and shaft to cool it down and Warm the bearing like I've seen Torqueman do in his videos for bearing replacements in Block grinders.
