Is the HF version okay or are there other sets to consider? From looking at the various sets from OTC, Matco, HF, etc they all looks the same over the internet but I can't tell much from pictures. Thanks.

If the tried and true OTC splitter is still USA made, it is the winner. The OTC stinger set that is same as the Matco is imported so there is probably no gains unless the HF kit is known to be pure ****.

Thanks. That's what I'm trying to figure out. It almost looks like they are all the same China made set but with various prices. I guess I may have to go try to find them in person somewhere to compare.

I can assure you they are not the same other than COO

They are all from China but one is better than the other? Please clarify. I can't find any local other than HF so I'll have to order one if the HF is a no go.


I went out looking at Pep Boys, Auto Zone, Advanced Auto, O'reilly Auto Parts, Sears and Harbor Freight. The only one that had a set in stock was Harbor Freight but they were sealed and I couldn't see the parts in person.
