Hi, I recently picked up a vintage Walker Turner motor for the Drill Press I'm restoring. Want to replace bearings. They measure:
.787 Bore x 1.855 OD x 0.552 Width (approx. 20mm x 47mm x 14mm)
and
1.023 Bore x 2.048 OD x 0.590 Width (approx. 26mm x 52mm x 15mm
The small one seems readily available in McMaster Catelog, Zoro, etc. However the large one might be obsolete. There are plenty of bearings with 25mm x 52mm x 15mm but none with 26mm bore. I did find some steering tube bearings in the UK that measured 26x52x15 but don't think they are the correct type.
So, what's the best solution? Does anybody know of a source for vintage motor bearings where these might be available? Or do I buy the modern size and take down the motor spindle by 1 mm?
Also, the shaft diameter on new motor for belt pulley is 3/4" but my pulley is 7/8". Do they make some sort of a sleeve that can be used to adapt pulley to shaft?
Thanks.
