Don't normally dabble in pressed steel socket sets, but I thought this one looked interesting.

That's a new one on me, and in great condition and looks complete too which always helps!
Wonder how old it is, and about the maker. Hopefully here's where one of the members good at historic and patent research will contribute..

AA actually has a decent write-up on B-R. They were aligned with Miller/Syracuse as their OEM early, then went with Hinsdale later. I would love to run into one in the wild, but a B-R set has eluded my Brass Era and Roaring 20's wood box lust so far. That emblem is indeed the bees knees.

I've seen this set in the wild only one time. I'd say it was 2009ish and the guy selling it wanted it's weight in gold. It was the one and only time a set like this appeared at the local flea here. This was during the hay day of the 200 vendor weekends.

Your set is in about the same condition as the one mentioned above. What a great set!!

So I was doing a search for BR socket sets and of course OTG has one. I’m the proud owner of a great box but now need the ratchet.
