Gave Dad my old TSC / Larin tire machine. Made similar to the HF one, but just maybe a bit heavier. Was afraid of the head breaker arm turning into a pretzel, so beefed it up a bit. Some 1x1/4 flat iron and 7014 rod and turned it into a pretty beefy piece now.

I have the Harbor Freight version, which has really chintzy, flat stock put under compression when breaking down the beads. I took two more pieces of similar flat stock, and welded them on making angle iron of those arms. No problem with them bending now!

I did bend the mount/demount bar on some particularly stubborn beads though.
