So was bored watching whatever my wife had on so broke out the dremel took about 5 minutes with the wool pad and some Flitz. Don't know if it's chrome or steel but not worried about it I'll keep some wax on it. Owner marks are gone lol.

No worries on rust, if you can buff those marks off you can buff corrosion off.:ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO:

Received the FHLFD80A it needed a little TLC but think it's in terrific overall working condition. There was a tiny bit of rust between the ears and the anvil was wobbling a little bit. I was afraid the internals were rusted out so took it all apart. No rust on internals and both pawls and gear look to be in very good condition. I took it all apart, cleaned everything, put a touch of grease on front and back of gear as well as a small amount on the gears themselves and put it back together. Operating very smooth and wobble is gone. Looks like the rust was from the bolt holding on flex head. Took it all apart cleaned up the rust on bolt and in between ears. Doesn't look like any permanent damage to anything. I put small amount of grease on bolt and blue locktite on threads and reassembled. Cleaned everything with some CLP. Chrome has some wear but overall in very good condition and no owner marks!

I wasn't sure about hard handle but think I might like it better than either the hard chrome or soft grip. It just has a good feel to it and works pretty good with my hand. Maybe just a tad smaller than I'd like but it really seems very good. I don't get too excited about special editions but the 100 Snap on looks pretty nice. This might just become my new favorite ratchet!

Looks great! I’m a big fan of the SO hard handles although I do agree they are a bit on the small side. I like QR which they don’t make in a hard handle so I get the comfort grips and then modify a SO screwdriver handle (which are a bit bigger) to fit. Makes for the “perfect ratchet” IMO

Just picked up another one... SH80A $102.50. This one looks to be in very good condition.

I'm like ya'll, I buy tools from Ebay, but dont want owner markings on them. Most people seem to disclose them from what I have seen.

Reminds me of a story; I live on a golf course and my son and i would go out and find golf balls that ended up in the woods, creek, etc. Go once per week and come back with three 5 gallon buckets full of balls. He would clean them up and sell the Pro V1s on Ebay. We disclosed that some balls had owner markings and company logos on them in our ad, but when people received them, they still raised cane!
