Hello again,

I found myself at a garage sale today and I stumbled upon a couple of odd boxes that I just had to have. One is a wooden one that has been hand painted to say L.B. Morris. The other is a stainless steel box that looks like it could have been some type of out door breaker box or something other than I has no holes in it. I paid $10 for the two boxes and the hitachi orbital sander all together. The sander works great and I needed it so I basically just got te boxes for free. Can anyone tell me what they are or where they came from?

The SS box is your typical NEMA 4x box....but it's missing the clips to hold the door shut.

That box new is about $200

The sander....if you don't have one....you do now....

The wooden box....do some research....I'm guessing that there might be some guy out there looking for something like that. For now, keep your baseball cards in it.

BTW....good scores...

I work in the food industry and we use boxes very similar to that all over the place.

Cool! Thanks for the info! Yes I needed the sander so it was worth the $ alone. So what exactly is the SS box used for?

They are used for electrical / electronic control boxes. You can get replacements clips. Unless your planning to design a control box it's not really worth much.

Well I basically got it for free. Lol. I just thought it looked cool so I had him throw it in. I think I'll hang it on my wall and store spray paint or something in it. I am gonna see if I can buy at least a couple of the door clips for it. Thanks for the help guys!

You could always use the stainless one for a cool first aid kit/station for your shop...polish the inside of the door to a mirror finish , that way you can get **** outta yer' eye......Shawn

I really like Shawn's idea. But Richie has a really good point too. I'll hang it up and see how I like it. If not, somebody will get a pretty good buy on ebay! As for the wooden box, its really really cool and the paint job is awesome. Oh and it is still solid and holding together very well. It's gonna find itself a personal spot on the shelf!
