No opener needed here, at least for the time being...I'm in twist-off mode....My waistline will only allow bud light and bud light lime right now...I'm on a diet.

Until about 3 weeks ago I didn't know those where for paint too!

The guy at Lowe's was mixing me up a can and I saw him using that. I first though wow that is a weird to use a beer opener for paint cans... then it dawned on me! :bounce:

Isn't it funny that every free paint can opener has a built in bottle opener?
What does that say about professional painters :headscrat
Or painting in general :headscrat

Lowes charges for those now. I actually had to go and dig out the 5 gal bucket I always throw them in, lol.

1. Hold beer bottle vertically in one hand with only the edge of the cap resting on the sharp edge of a work bench.
2. Use the other hand to swiftly hit the top of the beer bottle in a downward motion.
3. Drink beer.
4. Repeat as necessary.

Where was this thread on the 4th weekend when I got stuck using water neck pliers on my Coronas? I wasted an extra 5 seconds compared to some of these suggestions!:)

I've done it with a bic lighter on the side of a bottle of beer before
now a days most of what I drink is either in cans,or twist off tops.

I bought a Snap On opener on Ebay for a gift. When it came it had the Snap On logo but it said "Made in Sweden" WTF? Now I'm thinking, maybe it was made by Bahco?

Yup, that's the way I do it too.

Shop only, though... do not try on the wife's kitchen counter.

I've noticed the alcohol of choice for painters isn't beer - it's vodka. We used to give one of the better ones a bottle of Grey Goose for Christmas every year. Another guy used to like his liquid lunch and then get on a scissor lift 15 or 20 feet in the air spraying dryfall without a mask of any kind - interesting guy to say the least.

Don't forget drywall tools. I've seen a few rasps and multi tools with built in bottle openers.

Most of the time I use the Bic lighter. But I have the Mac Tools openers at the house.
