A full bathroom wasn’t really practical with my shed. The septic is about 300 feet away across a 30’ concrete pad and a 50’ blacktop parking area so I settled for a urinal in the shed.

Started with a pony keg. The bottom had a low ring around the bottom that I had to fill with glass.

Ended up having a machine shop weld a ****** in the top for flushing water and drill the drain hole in the bottom.

Finally got it all together and up this morning.

I may still fool around with the spray head to get more “coverage”.

Here some pics of the project from the end to the beginning.

The urinal is in a tool and compressor room I put in a corner of the shed.

For the city folks and code police, I thought I’d point out that it is tied in with a sink and downspouts and drains down the hill behind the building.

I’m on 15 acres out in the country and we have been peeing around the corner of the shed for over a year. Lol

Perfect, I'm 460yds to the property line with my closest neighbor and it's another 212 yds to the house. So any door will do!

There's 1 spot in the yard you can see from the road when the leaves are down, otherwise fair game.

I use the big oak tree and encourage the dog to mark over me. Keeps down on the yellow spots in the lawn and has the bonus of keeping the weeds down around the trunk.

I’m with ya but stepping out when it is in the teens in January ain’t no fun. Digging through for layers of thermals and carhardts to pee isn’t fun. lol

That's going to smell wonderful. Please cover the exit of the pipe at least. A future owner might wonder what that exposed drain is and get a nasty surprise when they investigate.
Won’t be any smell at all - behind the building, down a hill well away from anything and it has flushing water and is tied in with sinks and gutters.

I couldn’t give two shits what a future owner thinks. Most people pee off their porch around here if they want.

My brother-in-law had about 10 acres in the middle of nowhere. He built an "outhouse". He had it inspected and approved ! It had a flushing toilet (rain water) and the holding tank was a plastic 55 gallon drum buried next to the building. Inspector said, "You will have to have that pumped very often !" "I'm only here on weekends."

When the inspectors left, the drum had a bunch of holes drilled in the side about 1/2 up ! The ground in the area was all sand.

Very nice! I have two full size kegs I don't know what I am going to do with yet. BTW, my first snappy box was the KR557. And also, I escaped hellinois to mid south TN, and I am so jealous seeing your Menards tools! Lowes absolutely bites big time!

That’s a fairly common approach around here as well. That would have been what I would have had to do to put in a regular toilet. The house is only about 80 feet away, if someone has to go sit down, they can go in the house.

Used beer disposal device 2.0
A little more operator intensive but still less moving parts than a submarine urinal where you had to use your hands and feet simultaneously to flush it.

Hook one of those automatic valves to it and set it to go off a few times a day.

That bottle of bleach concerns me. Years ago, I mistakenly tried to clean an area with bleach after ammonia did not work. The mixture releases chlorine gas which is very dangerous. Urine contains ammonia. Beware!

I appreciate the back up. I should have mentioned it is heavily diluted with water and Dawn dish soap.
