I picked these up at an estate sale. They belonged to an old machinist, they feel like nice quality and were in with a mix of other quality wrenches including Herbrand, Williams, Armstrong and Gray. Has anybody ever seen these before?

*Funny sidebar, when I google "Beero wrench" it tends to bring up sites with "beer wench" in them

Wow, never saw those before. Cool find! A quick search of DRGM leads to WWII German stuff. Does it have a country name at all?

Becro! I see it now, you are correct! Thanks for the help, I'm still sorting through all the stuff that I picked up, I went to the guys place just to look at a Sheldon lathe and ended up coming home with the lathe AND radial drill press, power hacksaw, nice Kennedy tool box, and boxes & boxes of hand tools.

It is kind of a shame you don't see logos like that anymore. Everything these days is made from straight lines and boring plain scripts.

Thats because most new stuff comes out of a generic Asian factory and resellers just put whatever brand sticker they want on them. If you get a chance check out Gray Tools current line of ratchets, they have a beautiful style to them, kinda like an old Snap-on Ferrett, and they are still made in Canada

Gray certainly has nice looking stuff, no denying it. But I guess I was talking more about the American brands. The current slew of SK, SO, Craftsman, etc are pretty plain compared to the 50's-esqe (for lack of a better term) styling of the logo's of the past. You'd think that a stamp is a stamp, might as well make yours stand out.

I know what you mean, seems like something went wrong in the 70's and styling got thrown out the window and everything went generic & blocky. Somehow the balance of form and function took a big tilt towards function and then slowly the quality itself slipped over time. Thank God the old stuff was built to last so our generation is still able to use and enjoy it!

I can't count the amount of times I've have given a nut for a legit super thin wrench. I've always had to make my own and I bet those are truly a quality product.

How bout some more pic's?

I would think if they were cheap it would have been just a pressed steel wrench , on the other hand what you have is a very high quality tempered piece of steel plate that cost a lot more then you think back in the day.

Those are 'Terry's' wrenches, or spanners as they would be called in the U.K. They are stamped, but out of decent steel, and properly hardened so they actually work quite well!

They only ever made small sizes, but worth keeping around, especially for stuff like olderignition points where you havn't always got much room!

I think the firm still exists - they make hose clips and sprung steel bits!

I think we should start a new tool company called "Beer Wench". I bet its a name that could catch on. We could have slogans like, "You'll always get a nut off with your Beer Wench wrenches!" lol.
