Doing a new garage-under new house build (house is above). Hobby is cars and... okay pretty much cars . :) Still working on the build details, so need to get some ideas together while there's still time before the plans are signed off.

Goal is to have a 3 car parking plus a lift bay, 240V for a lift and welder (maybe a compressor if I go that route). Possibly a simple/small "full bath" (wash basin for cleanup, toilet for quick bio breaks, shower for rinsing off as we are hoping to put in a pool off the back). Lots of lighting. And maybe some storage over one or more of the parking bays. Trying to get sign off on 12' 2" ceilings to accommodate a number of lift choices, so they'll be plenty of space above the other spots. Garage doors will be 10x9 or 10x10 preferably if I can get HOA approval, and jack openers for clearance. Plus anything else I can figure out in the next few weeks.

Thanks for letting me join.

If you can work it and a 2 post lift is what you want, an "extra tall extra wide" lift is more user friendly. Can walk underneath better and much easier to get in and out of the vehicles. When I built my pole barn, I made almost a 15 foot ceiling. This way l put in that lift and built a gantry crane that can be moved over top of the lift. Works well for me. Just a suggestion.
