Hey guys,
Man oh man am I concerned. I purchased a few Behr products and was prepping out an exterior car port for my employer's house. I pressure washed, degreased, and rolled on Behr's Concrete & Masonry Bonding Primer to the concrete in preparation of applying Behr's 1 part garage floor epoxy.
Shortly thereafter I contacted my boss on color and he decided he wanted to do the Rustoleum Epoxy Shield. Now I am concerned that with the product mixing (using Behr's Bonding Primer) and then the Rustoleum Epoxy Shield that I will have a surface with the proper level of adhesion. I contacted Rustoleum and they told me that they are unsure of the effects as they never endorse mixing products (obviously...). I am unsure as to whether I should etch the surface again or rent a concrete surface grinder to get past the work I have done.
The surface is very porous so I am concerned. Any input would be much appreciated! I rarely find myself in this kind of predicament, but when I do, I have to point the finger at myself and laugh, angrily. Should have done more homework...
Thanks again guys,
Alex
