Heh, first two posts today after 8 years of silence. Someone check the power feed to the stasis pods.

I'd be getting out my bins of misc fine pitch bolts, find one that threads, then remove and count teeth and measure diameter, since I don't have a gauge or taps that small, OR, if I find two that thread with the right head, might grind down to the right length.

Have you tried looking around on the floor for them? They usually bounce down under the workbench just out of reach.

One of mine is a 3-48 x3/4” flat head Phillips, got a bag of 50 of them, if you need one or two.

Does anyone apart from snap-on make a 3/8th ratchet;-) It's an F726A.

Being lazy: I was in the house and didn't have a ratchet at hand. I asked about the thread rather than walk out here and measure one. It's 96 thou diam and measuring the pitch I get about 47tpi, so I guess it's #3-48.

I have had a gutless ratchet kicking around for years. It's missing the cover plate and I was going to make one, best use the original threads so I can use the screws that come with a repair kit.

It is a snaponvanman's fault.
The ratchet had slipped. I was driving along, had the ratchet with me and
saw a van. I stopped to buy a repair kit.
The bloke sees the ratchet in my hand "You have it with you. Let me fit the repair kit".
After he had taken it to bits he decided to tell me, he didn't have a kit, but would get one the next morning.
I left with the ratchet in a pretty bag.
I took the ratshit out of the bag and the **** had kept the cover plate!
Now I seem to see the gutless ratshit all the time and it's annoying me.
I guess I should chuk it in the bin and get on with some work.
