Belaire air compressor

thinking of buying this unit,reason being i don't have 220 line going to the garage or really have the space for a bigger unit.The spec shows this unit to be a work horse and also performs like many of the 60 gallons units.so i was wondering how many of you guys have this unit?

My goal is to be able to run 1/2 to 3/4 impact guns with out any issues

The thing is being generous at best and will run a 1/2 gun for a burp or 2, maybe enough to change a wheel. If you don't have 240 power you need it, not a real big issue especially if it is an attached garage.

Well, you certainly wouldn't want their 1/4" regulator. 1/2" regulator needed. The pump is from Italy. Are these NEMA motors?

I ran my Bluepoint 1/2" impact on less specs than those for over 20 years. I never knew I was suffering as I could put wheels on and off all day long. With 135 available and 7.1 @ 100 in a 26 gallon tank, I would say it will run the 3/4" too with a bigger regulator.

Sorry guys im using my cell phonei want to be able to use a 1/4,3/8 and 1/2 impact gun not a 3/4 gun

Not having any personal experience with it, but the specs are great. The $1500 Snap On portable compressor's specification cannot match the Belaire and you save a bunch of money.

I ran my Bluepoint 1/2" impact on less specs than those for over 20 years. I never knew I was suffering as I could put wheels on and off all day long. With 135 available and 7.1 @ 100 in a 26 gallon tank, I would say it will run the 3/4" too with a bigger regulator.

7.1 to me sound pretty good compare to the others that i have seen that are in the low 5's

Yep, Mine was 5.9 @ 90 and 125 PSI Campbell Hausfeld. Still have it, I needed to upgrade for DA and cutoff wheel ability, ran my air ratchet fine too.

Yes, I stand corrected, havnt had much experience with those, its got a fair size tank which would help with air guns.

I love mine. It works great. I'd also check I'm thinking 7.1 is ACFM which is more then just 7.1 CFM. Double check on that. I picked this up new with warranty for a grand out the door, works great, key start, no issues. Search around and see what's out there. I'll check with our compressed air guys at work and see if we have any electric units in stock.

i have the 80 gallon belaire with the 7.5hp baldor on it......i'm impressed with the performance and the build quality......i think the compressor is a star something that is imported and you can buy the compressor from northern hydraulics........

man, if you can, get you some 220 out there...........find out what type of box you have, get you a breaker, run your wire, install you outlet box.......and a few other minor details........

i gave $700 for mine that looks like new and it came with a matco regulator and filter/oiler and about $800 worth of bendpak tubing.......

get your 220, search craigslist, be patient and you'll find a great deal.....

i drove 2 hours to get mine.....you're in a heavily populated area, i would think something would have come up......

I'd put it middle of the road, it makes some noise when it ramps up but at idle it's not bad at all, i keep it behind my garage, was in a 3 sided lean-to. My neighbors never complained even running it till 2 am. I can't say I've heard the unit you are looking at run. All of our compressors are screw type so it's a totally different sound then the normal units.

It's a good bit better then my oil-less 33 gallon craps man that I had before. I like that I can load it in a trailer if need be and not worry about a generator.

I can run two DAs at the same time and a 3/4 impact and not run out of air, it is without a doubt bad to the bone.

That being said if I ever have to buy another compressor it will be a belaire.

You my friend are somewhat right. We are talking about two different compressors. I threw mine out as he asked if there were belaire owners in here and I spoke up.

It is a 13 hp engine, electric start although it's easy to pull start. It is not however 7 ACFM, it's more like 25 ACFM @ 100 PSI and 22 ACFM @ 175 psi (good luck finding a regulator to knock down from 175 to 90).

As to the DA, yes I can run 2 DAs on this and still have air left for additional tools.

As to a DA on a 7.1 ACFM compressor @ 100, it can most likely run it, a 10 PSI drop will move the compressor to 7.3 to 7.5 ACFM (we're a belaire dealer but I don't have our charts on my laptop). There are quite a few DA sanders out there that are good quality and draw between 6 and 8 CFM. Yes, he maybe on the high side of demand but, I don't see it being a issue with the units he's looking at. He may need to take breaks sanding but I can't say I've ever met anyone who's run a DA for more then 30 to 60 seconds at a time.

He hasn't met a lot of people, I guess. Running low on air after 60 seconds is why I spent $800. to upgrade!
