Belaire Compressors

Does anyone know anything about the Belaire line of compressors? I have the opportunity to buy a model 6061V for $550 brand new (I work part time at an auto parts store :>)
I almost purchased another Craftsman. It was rated in SCFM. The Belaire is rated in ACFM. What is the differance?

I'm pretty sure a Belaire is a LOT better compressor than a Craftsman....

Made by ABAC/IMC American. Pretty good from what I've heard.

Didn't I read a post here that one of our forum brothers did some research and found that they were the same guys that build the larger compressors for Harbor Freight?

Yes, you are correct. One guy was a trucker that picked up a load of US General compressors at the ABAC/IMC factory. If you take a look at the pumps, they are (virtually) identical. Not sure about the motors.
