here are some pics I took today after working on the driveway. Well, I spent 6 hours removing old tiles and jackhammering the cement underneath.... So happy with my normal day job :)

Middle part of the house, front view.

Added driveway to where the new garage will be built.

This is the spot.

Here you can clearly see the three 'units' that make up the house. Reason is the shape of the lot, it's triangular, and regulations say you need to stay 5 meters away from the edge...hence the staggered approach :)

more pictures when path to the front door and the rest of he driveway is finished :)

The floor for the 'new' garage/shed has been laid, now to wait for the walls, roof and gate to be installed :)

Oh, and got some nicer wheels on the TT as well :)

Is that what they are called in the US ?
In Belgium/Netherlands we call them "parabolics" and in the UK they're called "competitions"...

but we all agree they look good :)

Oh..do I need to update this thread... :) We have the new garage up and filled with fun cars. First, my dad had his Triumph TR6 in there, together with the TT. The Triumph got sold, and made room for a Porsche 996 4s :) Dad also moved in a lot of ugly filing cabinets, which make it hard to make the place look good. It's just practical at the moment.... pics will follow.

I will take pictures tomorrow, I promise....today I had to take the P-car to a shop to have the cooling system modified, and that took most of the day...was almost dark when I got home. Car is still there, so will be one empty space visible :)

it fits two cars. I use wheel trollies to move one car to the side, the other one has plenty if room left to open both doors.

Now I need to move all the **** out of the indoor garage and paint the walls and floor to make it look nice.

Porsche is coming back from the specialist this week, next week monday at the latest. Will be 100 percent mechanically... next : interior touch-ups.

The in-house garage : i want to paint the floor white, but don't know exactly what to do with the walls... Audi theme will be the theme, since the DD will "always" ;-) be an Audi... I might go for stickers of The Audi rings instead of painting them ( you never know ;-) ). Hard choosing colours...the current car is dark bleu, but no idea what the next one will be...Maybe do black and white, which goes with everything. Any suggestion is welcome...

I like the paint scheme with the Audi logo. It's not that I like or dislike Audi's - I know almost nothing about them - but I like a garage that shows it's brand proudly.

Thanks for posting.

Could go with the Quattro colours - or maybe get some chrome ring decals?

Allrighty...last week I felt it... I will actually do something productive :)

Cleared one side of the garage and started the paintwork :

after carefull consideration I decided the theme would be the newest and hopefully lasting addition to the "fleet" :

IMG_20150403_201701.jpg

Added some artwork ( check out Rebelrookphotography.com ) :

Put things back in place :

IMG_20150403_212706.jpg

but the bikes would scuff the paint sooner than later, and are taking up too much space. Hence I installed Topeak's one bike hanging mount, with helmet-hanger included :

Next post : adding a bench onto the concrete rack on the other side of the garage, install sliding doors to cover said rack. Paint the other wall in the same design.... cabinets are selected, drive to Ikea, put them together and install them. More to come :)

Edit : also ordered a gladiotorworx railset with baskets to replace that wooden rack.

Very nice garage, I do like your fleet.
My wife is from Brugge, so we used to spend quite a bit of time visiting. But since her folks died, I don't think we will be back anytime soon.
But I will miss visiting Belgium, we went camping in the Ardennes quite a bit also. At least my wife makes steak and frites for me once in a while.

Your name is a bit ill-chosen then ;-) Brugge is very nice, and a must see for visitors. We do live on the other side of the country ( a long 2 hours away ;-) ), but take visitors there regularly ( my wife is Australian, hence the tourist visitors ).

The garage is small indeed, but I'm not a mechanic, and only keep the cars clean. Maybe at some point I'll start on the other garage to make that look nice, but for now that's just for practical purposes.

Some progress has been made...bit of cleaning up, installed the cabinets, minus some doors ( not in stock :-/ ). These will go on soon ( got some travel coming up ).

True.... The original idea was for my dad's oldtimer to be stored on the right hand side of the garage. The car ( triumph tr6 ) got sold which made room for the TT to be stored at home. The only thing is that I drive it regularly and am too lazy to put it up on the wheel trolleys every time. ( I will in wintertime ).

But, it's still wide enough for a wide-*** 996 and the TT to be able to enter and exit while one or the other is inside. :)

Great progres with The cabinets. It will be a lot more finished when all the doors are installed. On the last picture i see some flooring. Is that the pattern that you gonna use?

Yes....I might make the checkered pattern a bit smaller to have a straight line on the left side,...I just have to swap tiles with the part at the bottom. Can't wait :)

Allrighty....after a bit of a break to go travelling, we're back, and the flooring has arrived :rocker:

I'm not completely done with it yet, since the edges need trimming and installing. I put down as much tiles as I could without having to get out any tools ( because I'm lazy today :bounce: ).

It's all coming together nicely, I'd say :)

And the missus' Mini....to bring some color into the mix ;-)

Today, I finally got rid of some junk and installed the edges of the Swisstrax floor... it still looks messy , to be honest, but in the future I'll install another row of cupboards against the back wall which will house all the tools that I have ( not a lot ).

Yes, the 4s, the turbo and the 40year anniversary edition of the 996 share that design of bumper. :)

-cough- had to dust off this thread... To prepare for an update : the garage door will be removed, and a new -sectional- one will be installed on the 24th of August.

Looking back through the pictures, I noticed how "empty" it looked. The hoarding monster lives there again now, and a new cleanup is overdue. Pics of the installation will be posted of course. Stay tuned...
