Belsaw 1055 or Drill doctor and regular grinder?

I was cleaning out the shop and about ready to pull the attachment off of my grinder so it would take up less space. It's something I picked up at an auction(because I needed a grinder) years ago. It's always just been used as a free hand grinder.
Well I decided to price the thing out before pulling it apart and found they bring $300-$400 easy enough and are a grand new. Also looked into it and they have a drill bit sharpening jig for these.
I'm on the fence on what to do with this thing. Should I get the drill bit jig and keep it? Other option is to sell, buy a nice regular style grinder, a drill doctor, used lateral file cabinet for storage and grinder base, then put left over coin in my pocket.
I'd kind of like to have the space just don't want to downgrade tools.

I have 2 of these Belsaw sharpeners I got on CL. I paid less than $100.00 each. They work awesome. They are well over $1000.00 new.I would keep it and get add on's.

I looked and looked for documentation on it. The only thing I can see is the one they have available for purchase. I could buy it but kind of disagree with the principal.

It also looks like they have a DVD but it's like $30.

Ya have me worried with it being "thick". I dont' want to trouble ya or have you spend all evening scanning pages.

I was mainly just trying to figure out the table adjustments. I'm not going to sharpen any circular saw blades. If I crank the table all the way one way or the other the opening runs into the wheel. Maybe the wheel is just to thick. Also under the table it has a large wing nut on one side that will allow a metal loop to slide back and forth in a slot. I wasn't for sure what this was for.

Keep your Belsaw unit and get what you need for it. The Drill Dr may work ok for some folks but like most of what is made today it is mostly plastic, kind of hokey, does not hold small drills in the chuck very well. I can't say that I am very happy with mine.
