This just popped up on local craigslist. Anyone familiar with belsaw? Call me crazy, but looks to be same maker as the craftsman block grinders? Has a cool oscillating grind table to make some pretty accurate angles!

belsaw was very common in sharpening tools.
I (think) they were considered consumer grade but they also promoted them heavily for getting in to the sharpening business as a side line

I have a Belsaw 13 inch planer. It was actually sold by sears and has the typical metal ID tag with the sears catalog number with no other identifiers except Belsaw on the bag of allen keys

I wouldn't have called them consumer grade though. The stuff of theirs I have seen have been pretty heavy duty with no zamak or pot metal parts, unlike some craftsman and Delta products.

In the 80s it became Foley-Belsaw
So that predates that.
Belsaw is into the sharpening side and foley was more the machine/woodworking side

Went to an estate sale last year of a gentlemen that made a full living as a saw sharpener using a whole lot of their equipment. I knew they made saw sharpeners but this place had lots of very specialized saw tools made by them that I had never seen before. Cool sale to say the least.

You think it's safe to say that these bench grinders were made by the same company that made the craftsman block grinders? Looks like a match aside from the labels.
