Belt grinder attachment other than multitools

Anyone familiar with this belt grinder attachment. I currently have a multitools attachment but this one looks more versatile. I have emailed the company about shipping to the US but have not heard back.

Have you had any issues with them? Do the belts track well?

I have the 236 and it runs fine. I just wish I could rotate it without having to take it apart and move everything. The front rest is a nice touch as well

There was a Group Buy of the 2" x 36" Multitools a few years back on the old British Blades Forum. I think the UK importer was retiring and selling off his remaining stock. I bought 4 or 5 and these had 3/4" bore drive wheels, supplied with some reducing bushes. Someone else on BB came up with a kit of parts (plasma-cut 1/4" plate: nothing fancy) to mount them to an 80-frame, foot-and-face-mount IEC Metric motor. I put a couple on 1 HP 4-pole 3-phase motors and run with a VFD. They are pretty impressive. I'm currently considering putting a disc grinder on one of the 1 HP motors and fitting a 2 HP, 2-pole motor to the Multitool. At the 120 Hz maximum speed, I think the 4-pole is just over its maximum power and is starting to get too easy to bog down.

I have no complaints at all about the Multitool. It will certainly cope with well over 1 HP. The only caveat I'd give is to check whether the newer ones give you sufficient options on the shaft size.

PA Multitool Belt Grinder on Craftsman Block Grinders

Found a video of one mounted on the left. Looks like the 48 in model. I think with the hd tray on the 1 hp I should be able to position a tool rest at the bottom. I suppose the disc wheel may be in the way... would have to go up a ways.
