I needed a belt guard for the old compressor I am setting up and every placed I looked that seemed overly expensive. ($100+)
So, I thought about what else was made of our steel wire mesh.
My first thought was animal cages and carries (We have a few working with a rescue, but none the right size)
My second was shopping carts (Figured I could find an old one to cut up)
Then it hit me "wire shelving", the kind you attach to the wall in a closet.
So, I went to look at some and they have "linen shelving" with narrow spaces (1/2 inch), that is flat with a 1-3/4 lip on the front. IT comes in 12", 16" and 20" depth.
So with a piece of 16" for the back and a piece of 20" for the front, the lips on top to make a 3-1/2 in deep cage, and some creative cutting and bending on the ends, here it is!
Yes, I need a closure method better the wire ties!
