Belt Measuring Tool / Belt Measuring Gauge

I tried every way I could think of with the "search" function, and could not find a thread for "Belt Measuring Tool" or "Belt Measuring Gauge".
as reluctant as I am to start new threads, I cannot resist sharing with you one of my favorites.
I use it all the time. The guys at O'Reilly's always marvel over it when I bring it in with me to match up a belt.
I remember it hanging up behind the counter in my father's parts store when I was a kid. Dates from the 1940s.

It's sad that Parts counter guys marvel at that since they kept making them and I'm sure they still do... I have a plastic and metal one in my garage also. I'd love to find one of wood like yours! Nice memento from your Dad's shop!

I have a gates one but the stick got broke off by a previous owner and a metal one as well. Use it pretty often actually.
