For my home shop I bought the HF belt/disc sander. I use it for de-burring metal. I use the diablo belts and discs from HD. works good for me and the price was right.

I would recommend a belt grinder that employs a rubber contact wheel, and 2-inch wide belt. Look at the offerings at Trick Tools, or Kalamazoo

Look into a Multi-Tool belt grinder/disc bench grinder attachment. Very good good product from Australia

If you can find an old Rockwell they’re beautiful. Bombproof, easy to work on, HEAVY. Modular such that the motor is easy to replace.

There’s some great threads here on them. Mine sees probably 4 hours per week on average, which is usually a full 8 hour day every other week. I have to sand huge lots of Al flat bar.

edit: these don’t have a disc, sorry. Just a 6x48 belt. I never used a disc when I had it

Look into making a 2x72 belt grinder. I made mine for under $200 and it's one of the most used tools I own. Plans are all over the internet along with videos on youtube

Ive been shopping for a combo disc/belt and Grizzly has been at the top of my list if spending less then $2K.
If spending more, lots of good options like Kalamazoo, BurrKing, Ellis?, nice used stuff.

I would definitely avoid name brands like Baileigh, Delta, Jet, Rikon, Powermatic, etc... you are only paying more for a name and not performance.
