Bench and die grinder identification

I finally found a nice bench grinder. But the mfg plates are long gone and I'm not sure what it is. At first I thought it was a Baldor, but the shape does not match any photos I can find. It runs great. I paid $65.

The wheel in this shot is a 6", so I think this is a 7"x1" grinder, with a 5/8" spindle. It looks like an 8" wheel might be a bit tight.

I've also been looking for info on the Big die grinder but have had no luck. The "big" Black and Decker seems puny in comparison!

Thanks.

No ideas on my bench grinder mfg?

I see that old box-style Sears grinders sometimes employed a similar rod-style tool support. It is an interesting approach that seems like it could be a good method to retrofit more solid tool supports to grinders that lack them.
