Is 0.0015" acceptable round out for a bench grinder shaft? Thanks.

How are you coming up with that reading? That's not much and once you true the wheel, it shouldn't be noticed.

Not only do I think your out of roundness is acceptable; I am of the uninformed opinion that it could be a "measurement error".

Reasonable. They probably don’t try to keep the shaft extremely straight.
