Bench grinder wobble?

Alright, all you bench grinder pros out there, I have a dumb question. I have an 8" bench grinder, it's a mastercraft. I got it for $20. Had coarse and fine grinding wheels on it, and decided to remove the coarse, and add a wire wheel. This setup suits my needs better. My problem is a dumb one. Before I messed with it, this thing ran perfectly true. I removed the wheels, and went to put the fine one back on, and now it "wobbles". I pulled it back off, and checked the runout on the shaft with a dial indicator. It's great. When I put the wheel back on, it wobbles almost a tenth of an inch! Not good at 3500 rpm. What am I doing wrong?

You may want to rotate the wheel 180 and see if this helps. I usually have this same thing when I put on a wire wheel.8" is a big wheel. It doesn't take much to make it unbalanced.

My guess is the plastic bushing in the grinder wheel hole fell out, and not it doesn't get centered on the arbor shaft.

It's centered on the shaft, it's a 5/8" shaft, and a 5/8" hole. It's like I have it on crooked, but I've tried spinning it several times on the shaft, no luck. I'll try dressing the wheel, and see what that does.

Dressing the wheel won't account for a tenth of an inch wobble. Find the reason why its wobbling, as like you said it didn't do that before. Remove the wheel and start from scratch again.
