So when I'm in search for a grinder to hopefully mount the MultiTool on does it matter what size the wheels the grinder takes as in a grinder that takes a 6inch wheel . Does the MultiTool mount to any of those size grinders 8or 6 inch
I'm I making sense ?
Thanks

I believe they are adaptable to both but, you will benefit more from the 8" from the more powerful motor over the 6".

I agree. If you can afford it go for the 8". Usually (debatably) rated at 3/4 HP.

Also consider a QUALITY used machine as opposed to brand new lesser quality. All mine are Baldor powered so I'm kinda partial to them.

LARRY: Not certain where, but I'm certain Jet products are available in BC.

Now I understand. The wheel size doesn't matter but you need:

--3450 rpm for the MT adapter. It uses a drive wheel a bit under 6", and you need 3450 rpm for adequate surface speed.
--A grinder that employs wheel guards that bolt on (not clamped). The adapter uses the guard bolt holes to mount to.
--At least 1/2hp (honest power rating), and more is better. I'd look for at least 5 amps of current to really appreciate the MT belt adapter.

Hello lis2323

It seems that Jet Tools and Jet are two different companies . Yes Jet is readily available in B.C. at Lordco for example and KMS tools . But Jet Tools who carries the Multi Tool Belt Grinder attachment I think is only available in the USA .
Not sure if I went across the line and purchased the MT attachment I would be able to bring it back duty free .

It appears the MTBG can be purchased easily on line through Amazon, Trick Tools and others. No duty bringing it into Canada but Border Services will ding you the PST/GST (12%) when it crosses the border into BC.
