I mostly just read posts here & have learned a lot. This is a awesome site.
Now i need a little advice. I have a 30x40 pole barn which has trusses, only 5, that are not made for storage. My sidewalls are 11' tall. I want to build a small room in the back corner 10'x20'. I want to put a top on this room strong enough, so i can use the top for storage. Any ideas on how to do this?
OOPs, i mean pole barn, not poke.

2x8's or 2x10's running the 10' way, then top off with 1" T&G OSB flooring and you could park a car on top. But depending on what you want to store you could go thinner on the OSB. Personally I'd go with 1".

As far as building it, build your two walls, tie a stringer into your two outer walls and hang the 2x's into joist hangers on the two outer walls. On the inside walls the joist would sit on the top plate. Make sure you put a header above any window or door into the room.
