Tools are, obviously, important to any garage or workshop space, as are flooring, electrical and even heating and A/C, but I think workbenches are eminently worthy of their own category.

From folding to specialty to heavy duty, let's have a place to showcase and discuss the part of the shop we use almost as much as the floor we stand on!

I agree. The almost entirely overlooked workbench does deserve some recognition. I have, the last few days, been looking into getting a workbench for use at work. Mostly cause I don't have a place at home for one; yet. In my searches I have found a few good posts and one great one that has made me envy of the owner. Here is that one:

HF Toolboxes Workbench - Phase 1
HF Toolboxes Workbench - Phase 2
HF Toolboxes Workbench - Phase 3

But for those who don't have the skill, time or money for the piece of art Steevo made, there is still store bought. Found this at KMS Tools here in BC:
Bynford Pro 54" 5 Drawer Steel Work Bench

Lets see your workbench

If it is part of you garage then show it if in the gallery.

Sure, I guess, but you could say that about pretty much anything; same with General Discussion, or you could even consider benches to be a sort of Tool.

I say workbenches are a uniquely important part of our garages, many of us have more than one, each with distinct purposes. With all the nuances of their design, construction, and uses, I think benches deserve a category to bring those threads and discussion and collective knowledge together.
