I don't know that it's a whole lot better or easier than just building it yourself but it looks fine. I wouldn't have any problem with using it. It appears to be flexible for size/configuration and I like that the legs should be impervious to moisture. I'd probably use a little more intermediate bracing for the top/shelves and would probably put some cross bracing on the back for lateral stiffening but that's all easy enough.

Yeah. I think the designs are flexible (within limits of course).
I showed DH the patio furniture, I thought it looked cool. He didn't.
I have one of these benches. Mine didn't come with the upper shelf kit, but I don't mind it. I love this bench. It was super easy to put together and is very sturdy. I can climb on top and it could hold my heavy self all day long with no problems. I built mine 2ft x 8ft. After I move, I plan on getting another set of legs and building workbench. There's never enough space to work on in my shop. Just my 2 cents.

I got mine from Northern Tool on black friday for $40.00 a set. I havent used them yet to see how good they are.

A buddy of mine with a sign shop used that system to build his work table. Turned out very nice. Not sure it would hold up to extreme use but it fits his purpose very well. I was impressed. He picked his up from Northern as well.

If you have the ability to build the kit why not save the cost of the kit and build all out of lumber? There are plenty of threads here on how to build a workbench. You have to buy the lumber anyway.
