I'm thinking about building a bench table saw cabinet to hold the table saw at the proper height and put drawers under it to place some of my other wood working tools (Circular saw, router, drills, and consumables.) So coming to GJ, I was wondering what's your setup if you have something similar.

I've surfed google for ideas and there's a lot of them out there, and i like the idea of being able to roll the cabinet around and hook a vacuum to the back side to collect some of the saw dust.

So post what ya got and what you like or hate about it!

Thanks

For many years I used a small 8" craftsman 1955 vintage table saw on a metal rolling stand. The unit had a solid wooden base foot in the front and casters in the rear, which allowed me to lift up the front and roll it around as I needed. The cabinet with table saw top was the same height as my work bench and had a removable dust bin. Being the same height as my table saw top, the work bench allowed me use the bench as a plywood support when I cut full sheets by simply putting 1/8" welding rod under the ply and everything rolled through the blade smooth as silk. Ideas are only limited by your imagination and needs. Mine worked well for me many years in my small 600 sq/ft shop at that time.

That's something I've didn't think of and of course I'm trying to decide how i can use the bench in this idea.

Yea i know the sky is the limit so I suspect I'll be looking harder at my current setup in the garage and decide what I want to keep with the table saw and what needs to go somewhere else.

Just figured I would see if anyone wanted to show off their creation for a table saw cabinet.

I don't use my ts as much anymore, so it spends its time parked against the wall. When I need it, I roll it out on the driveway- so I can share the saw dust with the neighbors. I mounted a miter box underneath, and it actually works very well, for what I am currently doing.

If you have the room a rolling cabinet similar to the one I built is very useful. Found the plans on the internet.

before I had my current cabinet saw I had one where I made a roll around like those. short on space I had a fold down outfeed table attached to the rear of the saw that I could open like a table leaf and lock into place. it was as long as the saw was tall and like 3 feet wide. only problem was with it up the whole thing was not safely balanced so I'd have to weigh it down under the saw.
always tooled with the idea of a router on it as well using the same fence as the table saw.
