Generic HF bench/frame and the top and bottom surfaces are cut from solid core doors I had left over from my work bench project. Very solid.

Have one of those as well. It's a sturdy little thing ...

For speed and versatility you can't beat the metal leg systems that come in different sizes w/ points in the legs for wheels or feet ... you can put them together in the height and width you need. They are strong and lighter weight vs building out of all wood ... Match them up with the proper casters and they are a breeze to move.

The too cars are great ... but, I find them too tall for many toos

Well it depends on your wallet like most people or your ability to cre@te a stand, but I’d just go to Harbor Freight and buy one with drawers for storage

While this isn't a benchtop model, the suggestions to use a base cabinet are on-point. I have one dedicated to the drill press for bits, reamers, countersinks, taps, dies, etc. It's handy and organized.

I'd sure like to have a cabinet with drawers under my bench top DP, but that takes money of which I have limited amounts.

Mine sits on an old (free) table saw which had a bad motor. It's one of those cheapie ones where the blade attaches directly to the motor, so it wasn't worth fixing to the fella who gave it to me. None-the-less the DP is rock solid sitting on there.

Drill bit indexes and home made fixtures take up the rest of the table saw top. This stuff would go into a cabinet if I had one.

This works just fine for me, but if I had access to more money I'd have better. Just a thought for anyone trying to get started with a limited budget.
