Took some inspiration from the site recently. I had originally been using the trouble lights along with the clamps that they come with, but my dad really helped kicked it up a notch!

You'll have to excuse the un-finished parts of the garage - it's a work in progress.

The holes in the flange matched pre-existing holes in the overheads... fate!

Hopefully these pics work - otherwise I'll have to transfer to photobucket.

Very inventive I like the looks of it

Thanks! I like the exposed/raw look of things.

More light could have been had with some tubes, but this wasn't very expensive, and fits my aesthetics.

Sent from phone using thumbs.

The trouble lights were from the local True Value hardware store. It wouldn't surprise me if TSC had the same or similar.

Are those high power CFLs in there? I like the color temperature.

Someone's going to give you grief for hard wiring the lamp cord. If you put outlets on the boxes and plugs on your little stubs of cord it would still look boss.

A 4x4 box, swtich and outlet, the switch helps the saftey factor and it isnt that I havnt pulled this same thing but we should have left the plug. A duplex would allow for adding another fixture. I like the hangers, some room of adjustment. The workmanship is great.

Appreciate the feedback guys!

The plug / wire situation is temporary for the moment. I still have to run power to the other half of the garage. More outlets and wiring to come!

I'll be adding 4 or 6 - 4 ft florescent tube fixtures to the garage for detailing and major garage work.

Are those high power CFLs in there? I like the color temperature.

23 watt 'daylight' florescent bulbs. $15 for a 4 pack.

I like the German magnets on your tool box!

Cool light setup, I like it's 'industrial' look.
