Not sure what I want to do is possible, but thought I would ask anyways.

My PS is on the top shelf of my work bench,so I usually just run the test leads all the way down to the work area.

Does anyone make something like a relocation kit for banana plug terminals? I could wire up the leads coming from the PS to the relocation kit (mount) and mount it underneath the shelf. That way the banana plug terminals are right there all the time. Does this make sense?

KEV,
I Know I have seen what you are looking for in one of my Ham Radio catalogs but cannot remember exactly where. Check MFJ products, Ham Radio Outlet and maybe West Mountain Radio. I have swapped all of my stuff over to Anderson Power Poles, they are the real deal :)

Search panel mount banana jack, you'll find a multitude of options. I've used marine bus bars and threaded stud banana jacks to make banana jack buses, expensive, but worked well.

another option for a cheaper bus bar is use a piece of copper pipe. crush it flat in a vice and/or hammer it flat on anvil. makes a nice easy to drill/cut solid copper bus. I use these all the time making 12v power supplies out of old computer power supplies (run all red wires to one, and all black to another and use banana plugs). I use several to run HT's, and other radios, that way I keep my good power supplies available for other purposes.

Anderson Power Poles are the best solution for building DC extension cord or powering DC equipment that has a pigtail. Worth the cost of the special crimpers !

Ok, never mind. Think I'll pick one up. Found a code that drops it under $50 before shipping.

Powerpole connectors will work, but I much prefer binding posts for things like this.. They are much faster to terminate with a banana plug or if you just need to test something out you don't even have to terminate, just strip the wires and go..

All depends on your setup and how you use it; if you work only in one spot then a distribution block like you are looking at is perfect. I had several spread out locations I wanted to have various voltages, so plain binding post were the best option for me.
