Wilton model 100-4 bullet vise
Check out this late model Wilton bullet-style bench vise. It has 4” wide jaws, yet is small enough to fit inside a US Postal MEDIUM flat rate box. I bought this one at an estate sale, intending to give it to one of my sons. But they don’t need it, and my bench is filled with cool old USA-made vises, so this one is back on the market.
This vise looks almost unused, with no major scars or scratches anywhere, and original paint that seems to be about 90+ percent intact. There is very light orange surface rust to all the unpainted steel areas of this little vise, which I’m sure will come right off with either vinegar or Evapo-Rust. No cracks, no breaks, no missing parts, and the handle is not bent or messed with.
If you want a Wilton vise, and you want at least 4” wide jaws, yet you want a compact bench vise…this one is for you.

HUGE old USA-made bench vise.
Made by General Fire Extinguisher Company. Marked with model number 223-2, and also marked, “Providence, R.I.” (Rhode Island). Note that this is the biggest “exposed screw design” vise I have EVER seen.
This cool old GFE vise has 5” wide jaws, is 11” high, and about 23” long with jaws in closed position. According to our bathroom scale, it weighs a whopping 118 lbs! Non-swivel design. The jaws are in terrific condition, and the handle is pretty darn straight. I can find no cracks or breaks anywhere. It has some grinder marks, some surface rust, and lots of flaky old paint…some blue, some red. I made no effort to clean this old vise in any way. That way you can see it exactly as I found it; with no paint or body filler to cover hidden sins.
This unit would be very cool for anyone who wants a really big, really old, USA-made bench vise in their shop. Even MORE cool for folks who like or collect vintage firefighter equipment. I have never seen another one like this.
Local pickup is preferred, as this thing will be a bear to ship, requiring special crate, freight shipping, etc. But if you live far away from southern Ohio and REALLY want this big cool old vise, contact me to see if we can work out arrangements.
