Benchmark lists these as being made in the US, but they don't look quite like forstners from any of the manufacturers I can find. I've had great success in the last year with consumables from Benchmark, and I assume these are fine quality, I'm just curious as to whether anyone figure out who the supplier is that's actually making these? Are these a one-off private label job by a company that doesn't make forstners for anyone else?


They're really competitively priced, about half the price of a Freud Diablo 16pc set, so I'm feeling awfully tempted to just buy these, since I want a full set of forstner bits.

I'm also curious about this "Steelex" or Shop Fox set from Grizzly, and if anyone here has tried them. $40 is a can't-miss price if these are even remotely decent.
