Got mine yesterday.
I figured someone seeing it on here would post them on slick deals and destroy the offer. I hate that slick deals is just thousands of people jumping on whatever comes up in order to resell.
I hope Benchmark gets some decent reorders out of the GJ members, they sure as hell won't from slick deals.

Did anyone get their card information stolen from this? I used a card I usually don't use for this transaction and I just got a call from my bank about some suspicious transactions from India. They stopped the transaction and cancelled the card needless to say. I also have virus protection and scans performed on my computer daily so I know it's not that.

Any word from these guys on it coming back in stock? The product page says it’s supposed to be back today, but it’s still out of stock. Looking to place an order, but holding off on other stuff until this is back.

But I wonder if it is still going to be 10 bucks shipped to your door when it comes back in stock?

Got mine the other day too. Certainly a nice addition to the garage. And their C.A.T (Cuts All Things) diamond demo blade should come in handy with the plaster and lath in my house.

They have been running this deal for a couple months now that I know of. I expect it will be back.

I hope so. I need to sand down a stack/tower of glued and screwed 2x4s I made into an Anvil Stand. I'm thinking these course grade flap discs should make quick work of that. There are about 50 short pieces of heavy pressure treated 2x4s that I cut as accurately as I could with a circular saw. But they deviate by about a 1/4 here and there. I wanted to sand the entire block down uniform, but it is a large block. And that sucker is heavy, much heavier than I thought it would be, almost as heavy as the anvil that sits on top of that tower.

Well after using a couple of these I can report back on performance.

6/10- pretty good for the price

Dont be fooled, these are cheap Chinese made flap disc with good marketing. But they do hog off some serious material, and the lifespan is decent.

Biggest complaint is balance. These things wobble like a SOB, definitely not as balanced as my Pferd, Walters, and other (much more) expensive disc. Not optimal if you are blending corners or doing light panel work.

Overall- not a bad disc for a basic use or casual DIY, just not as refined at disc that cost 2-3x $.

I have to agree with your assessment. At work we use Norton and the Pferd contours. I took one of the Benchmarks to work and used it up. Down to nothing, I beveled with it when it got to the point it wouldn't blend well.

The abrasive cloth is really pretty good quality, no complaints for the price, but man are they unbalanced. Even on my good air grinders, which are smooth as silk, the vibration is annoying. On my nice Metabo electric, it vibrates like a cheap grinder. I gave all of the remaining 9 a test spin at home on a nearly new Metabo and the problem was consistent.

I've been doing fab work since 1975 and maybe I'm pickier then the average GJ guy, I'll manage to use these up at home, but I won't buy any more. I only use Pferd cutting wheels, so maybe I'll give the Benchmark sanding discs a try.

I've been buying the Diablo's at HD, only recently did I notice that Menards has pretty much all the Pferd I'd ever need... but I haven't got a chance to try them out yet. Noted their COO and picked up a few last time I was in the grinder isle.

Glad to hear im not being to picky.

Yeah I spun these on my Metabo and my new favorite G12VE Hitachi, rattled the piss out of both. I will use them on some grunt work, but nothing that needs paint.

Pferd has been my go to for years, specially with thin cutting disc. But lately ive been dabbling with Walter, Weiler, Norton, United, and found some really nice stuff. I would buy any of those at 2 or 3x the cost of these Benchmarks. Problem is, some of these other brands are $10/ea....

I ran through 3 discs yesterday. Two of the 40 grit and one of the 60 grit. I used them to take down wood. But it was for an anvil stand I built out of a stack of 2x4's, so I'm not picky, just trying to knock all the wood down smooth and even without any splinters or jagged edges. For that the flap discs worked good. Not like I'm making furniture or anything nice that would need a perfect surface prep.

They seemed to clog up with wood dust pretty bad, after about halfway through the flaps I tossed them and swapped with a new disc.

All three spun good, no out of balance rattling on mine.

For a buck each, great deal.

I think it was a one time use code. I tried and it's showing that I already used the code, which I did use earlier this year. Code showed applied for me before I entered my info.
