New to me Benchmaster "mini mill." Been chasing one for awhile. The CL seller must've known that based on his asking, which i paid of course. I liked how complete it looked, felt, and loaded. Even after loading, hauling, and unloading, it trammed way close enough for me!

Nice! It looks to be in very good shape.

If you don't mind me being all nosey, what motor is on it - H.P and voltage. I'm just guessing its 110 V based on its small size??

Also what does the spindle take for collets? R8 or something else?

Very cool little mill.

Hey that reminds me - I saw a guy at work the other day with a great t-shirt. I'm pretty sure he is a machinist in the model shop. Anyway, instead of his T-shirt saying "license to kill", it said "license to mill". Cracked me up!:lol_hitti

Nice! I am very jealous. I found a benchtop horizontal mill not too long ago but passed as I all ready have too many projects. But it is probably going to bug me.

I just picked up one myself but was baffled by z axis / table raising mechanism...apparently this was labeled the production model and which did not have fine feed table raising mechanics / retention. After cleaning it a bit I'm getting to like it a bit more even though I have a larger mill. What motor, specifically RPM did yours come with? Mine had an odd extremely low RPM gear reduction motor that I assume isn't original, but I wanted to be sure of that.

Made my first chips tonight in what appeared to be some soft cast aluminum.

The motor is a 1/2 hp 17xx rpm, nothing special.

The spindle is 2mt. Little Machine Shop (highly recommended) hooked me up with a set of 7 collets up to 1/2 inch.

Though you see cranks in the pic, they function the same as handwheels.

Each axis has dials, accurate to within .001 per .100 per my starrett back plunge.

LMS also sold me a nice 3 inch toolmakers vise the I used tonight, i have a Kurt copy on the way from them.

The tee slots are tiny, but i was able to make some tee bolts on the lathe from 1/2x13 to fit a large mill hold down kit, nice complement to the kit.

I have one almost identical to this, but a different base. I would be interested in its worth.

What it's worth vs what i paid for mine, would likely be two entirely different things. But, i looked locally for two years, and only this one showed up. That is, with myself and one other running wtb ads on local cl.

Craigslist lot for my new to me Benchmaster, and some HSS for my South Bend lathe. All USA stuff, really nice lot to get the mill started.

Came with a huge amount of nice 5/8 shank stuff, but my largest mt2 collet is 1/2, for this baby mill.

There's some much larger stuff in there also. Who's trading?!?!IMG_4013.JPG

Most or all of the mills look unused.

Not sure what to do with all that cemented carbide, there's so much there, but most used.
