a local metal shop should be able to bend and brake any metal you need. usually a scrap piece will only be a few dollars. couple local shops here just have a pile and you can go through it and they tell me 10 or 20 bucks depending on what i need. you can drill your own holes where youd like them.

Buy a piece of sheet metal at Lowes, bend the **** out of it in a vise, and drill some holes. If you have access to sheet metal tools the possibilities are endless. $30 for that is ridiculous. Make one out of wood lol.

You could do L brackets to hold up a strip of pegboard (however long/tall you need) and hang them? bolster it how you like.

The OPs link is for small screw drivers. It wouldn't exactly work for nut drivers, nor is it the best arrangement for them.

Just take a couple of aluminum cans and smash them with a sledge hammer. Drill some holes and bend to the desired shaped and you'll be all set.
