Benchtop Tools

Bought some tools at K-Mart almost 40 years ago. Belive it or not they are still going strong (Sockets, Wrachets, and Wrenches). I was just starting a job and needed some tools but didnt have a lot of money. I have since added to my tool set with more pricey and name brand tools, but these still get used regularly. They came with a lifetime warranty and a long time ago the 3/8 wrench broke. I took it back to K- Mart and they gave me a new set. No problems ever since. I was wondering does anybody sell these anymore?

They are pretty good tools. Unfortunately no longer made they were a KMart brand. I still find lots of them in pawn shops along with the Benchtop Pro as well. Never had one fail on me I’ve got a couple I use nearly every day.

RIP to USA made decent tools that were affordable. Also, RIP to that K-Mart cafeteria they used to have in the 1970s. I remember as a little kid eating there sometimes with my parents. They had entrees like meatloaf and mashed potatoes, cheeseburgers, Chinese stir fry, subs, plus a lot of Jello and pudding.

My file in my work hand box is is a made in USA Benchtop. I found it NOS in the package for 3-4$ at a local industrial supply.

It looks just like a Craftsman model that a lot of people have, other than the printing on the handle.

Kresge’s had a good cafeteria too. They were part of the K-mart brand.
