I have a 10acx. Just got it up and have a couple of questions. AS you know the instructions are less that perfect. I need to know just how the foot guards are supposed to look when installed. I don't see anything in the written instructions and no clear pictures.
Also, the fitting that operates the cylinders from the floor is rubbing the carriage when the lift is full down. Is yours like that?
Lastly, how are you lubricating the carriage blocks so that they do not "moan"?
Thanks for any help or advice!!

Sorry, I don't know what you mean by foot guards...

Mine doesn't rub at all. Got a pic of your setup?

Per the instructions, I lubricated the blocks with WD-40. No "moaning" yet.

I think WD-40 will work just fine if not give bendpak a call.

I grabbed these images from the manual for XPR-10 Series posted on their website.

I'm on duty today and last night the camera battery was dead. I'll try to get some pictures up tomorrow.
I do have it lubed with WD40 already and everything is level etc.
Thanks,

Are the foot guards those stupid little plates that are supposed to somehow cover the hydraulic fitting in question?? I never put 'em on and never understood the need.

Yeah, I had the hydraulic fitting issue too. The instructions **** balls, er I mean ATF. It's really too bad that a company like BendPak who at the very least appears to be domestically based can't hire anyone who can read or write.

LMK if the photo helps. I had to crack the fittings on both sides to reposition after I had an issue similar to what you're describing. ATF EVERYWHERE.............

edit: enlarged photo in post #4 (still can't make out much of the text tho - don't care enough to go to BP's site). Dunno anything about the foot guards, apparently an "option" for which I did not opt

Thats the spot. The pieces that I'm talking about hold the extensions to the lift arms.

Here is the guard that hold the extensions. I don't know exactly how it goes on? Anyone have pictures of yours installed? Other one is the fitting mentioned. Just barely rubbs the paint. I hope it does not move!
I tried to upload the vid of the noise but no luck.
Only other thing is getting the lift arms going up exactly the same. Does anyone know if the adjustment on one side controls the lift on the opposite side??
Thanks,

Looking closely at your pic and mine, it appears the cutout for the line is narrower on yours. The hex on my female fitting is in the clear.

Clearance it!

I gave up on trying to get the arms to go up *exactly* the same. When I first got the lift I adjusted it so they did w no load. As soon as I put a truck on it that went out the window. Now it just depends upon the vehicle, sometimes they click at the same time, sometimes not.

From Page 13 of the manual. Shows the foot guards and the Extension Holder that goes on the base plate, not the arms.

Thread bump! Old thread, I know, but the pics above are perfect. My question: What kind of fittings do I need to buy to cap and plug those hydraulic lines? Are they NPT? JIC? 1/4"? I want to move a bendpak lift, and I would like to cap and plug all the lines to minimize the mess when I disconnect them. I have an older XC-7 lift, but I would guess all the hydraulic fittings have the same form.

Wow! it HAS been a long time! Thanks for posting. I had forgotten about this thread. I can't answer your question but I can answer mine for anyone checking this thread.
The "moan" was actually the cylinders themselves. The solution was to add a friction modifier that can be found at your local hydraulic supply or CAT dealer. Lift is working great BTW!
